Swedish/Icelandic Romantic Drama and Award Winning Feature HEMMA (Home) by Maximilian Hult, has been nominated for Icelandic Film Awards EDDAN in the Categories Best Director – Maximilian Hult and Best Editing – Valdís Óskarsdóttir and Sigurður Eyþórsson. HEMMA was shot in Iceland in the summer of 2012, with support from the Icelandic Film Centre and a wonderful mixture of Swedish and Icelandic Cast & Team. HEMMA. The film is produced by Swedish Producers Anna G Magnúsdóttir & Anders Granström and Co-produced by Icelandic Guðrún Edda Þórhannesdóttir & Friðrik Þór Friðriksson.
Earlier the film has been awarded The South Korean Busan Audience Bank Award, Opening Film at Mannheim Heidelberg, Eucomenical Award as Best film in Mannheim-Heidelberg, Grand Prix Best Film Febio Fest Prague, Best Male Actor Erik Lundqvist at Peace & Love Film Festival Sweden and Guldbagge for Best Female Supporting Role Anita Wall.
On June 26th Erik Lundqvist was awarded as “Best Male Actor” at Peace & Love Film Festival’s Award Ceremony, for his role as Tom in the feature HEMMA (Home) by director Maximilian Hult. Only 11 years old at the time of shooting Erik’s performance is impressive and has been recognized and appreciated by audiences in Festivals all over the word where the film has been screened and awarded.
HEMMA is in Official Selection at Peace & Love Film Festival, Dalarna Sweden, 22-26 June 2014.
Movieboosters AB accquires Icelandic country romance Of Horses and Men (Hross í oss) about the human streak in the horse and the horse in the human. Directed by debuting Benedikt Erlingsson and produced by veteran Fridrik Thor Fridriksson, the film has been selected for festivals alla over the world and is laden with international awards. Swedish audiences can expect to see this amazingly popular film in the fall 2014.
HEMMA (Home) will be theatrically released in 24 cities in Sweden starting July 11th.
